There is a sense of intrinsic allure of the natural wonders of nature that speaks to the human soul. Flowers and landscapes have the ability to transport us to past memories, bring out emotions and inspire contemplation just by being their natural selfs. It is my intention as the artist to translate the spirit of the unseen world of organic life onto the canvas for our eyes to understand. In my work, I embrace a mixture of realism and post-impressionism balancing the line between the real world and the one that lies beyond our human comprehension. In this exploration of floral and organic subjects I strive for my paintings to bring a momentary respite and visual meditation to the viewer even if it is only for a brief moment in time.
